Volunteer Opportunities

Food Distribution Volunteer

Help organize and distribute food to families during our weekly food pantry events.

Commitment: 4 hours per week
Schedule: Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Skills Needed:

  • Physical ability to lift boxes
  • Friendly demeanor
  • Bilingual preferred

English Language Tutor

Assist with English language classes and provide one-on-one tutoring support.

Commitment: 3-4 hours per week
Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Computer Skills Instructor

Teach basic computer literacy and help participants navigate digital tools.

Commitment: 4 hours per week
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Translation Assistant

Provide translation services for medical appointments, legal meetings, and official documents.

Commitment: Flexible, as needed
Schedule: Weekdays, various times

Administrative Support

Help with office tasks, data entry, and organizing community events.

Commitment: 2-3 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible weekday hours

Youth Mentor

Guide and support immigrant youth in their academic and personal development.

Commitment: 2 hours per week
Schedule: Saturdays 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Skills Needed:

  • Experience with youth

Volunteer Requirements

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who share our commitment to helping immigrant families. Here are our basic requirements to ensure a safe and effective volunteer experience.

Must be 18 years or older (16+ with parent permission)
Complete volunteer application and background check
Attend orientation session
Commit to minimum 3-month volunteer period
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
Show respect for all cultures and backgrounds
